connecting mpc1000 to balanced inputs

what are my options since the outputs on the 1000 are unbalanced. i'm planning on getting an edirol fa-101 firewire interface to track my beats onto my comp from the mpc. can i just use a balanced 1/4" cable? i'd just like to know my options and the positives and negatives.

also, if anyone records onto a computer using the 4 outs, what do you guys use?
