Whenever I'm away from the studio for a long period of time, like when visiting the hometown or going diggin' in other states/countries, I think about getting BACK to the studio too much. When I'm gone, thats when ideas keep attacking me and I can't do anything but wait until I get back.
So ever since getting the maschine, I'm pretty much portable. A maschine, laptop, and some studio monitoring headphones will do the trick, but my goal is a small audio interface, macbook pro, and a usb turntable. Until then, I have the basics so I can say that its a good feeling to be able to work on all these ideas attacking me. I recommend going portable to all producers who are on the go a lot.
no offense but aint it obvious that if you wanna be portable you going to need a laptop, maschine or mpd + ableton, or some kind of midi controller and software of choice like reaper, portable tt and a audio interface..I mean dont that shit sound like common knowledge or somethin or am I just really smart
