Hey guys,
I have a little problem with syncing my YAMAHA MOX 6 with my AKAI MPC 2500. The problem is as simple as that : I reached to sync both elements (with two midi cables (in/out - out/in)) as described in akai's owner's manual and mox 6's owner's manual, but here is the point : the sound is transfered from my MPC to my piano. I play with headphones, so the sound comes out from my piano. I don't know how to do so that it comes from the MPC and not from the piano. I would prefer that to hear mpc's metronome, for example (I can't buy speakers for the moment, and I have only one set of headphone). So first, how can I do that ? (I would like to connect my headphones to the mpc and hear my piano sounds from my headphones connected to the mpc (now i'm hearing the sound from my headphones which are connected to my yamaha)). Secondly, there is a problem : when I record a sound from my piano to the MPC, it's fine, I can play it on the mpc and hear it in my headphones from the yamaha. But when I try to record a new track on the same sequence on the mpc with another sound on the yamaha mox6, it also affects the first track I recorded. It's a real problem and I don't know how to fix it (i'm in voice mode on the yamaha). So how to fix that ? And there's also another problem : I did a beat without the yamaha on my mpc only with the akai's samples pre-installed in the memory card. I can hear it when I connect my headphones to my MPC, but when I connect my headphones to the yamaha, the beat isn't transfered. Only the sounds made with the yamaha recorded on the MPC can be listened in my headphones. Is all that stuff normal ?
I have some sick beats waiting guys...
Thanks anyways for reading this **** shit.
I appreciate your help !
