Midi and the laptop

Can I run midi into laptop to use acid pro? Waht connection device do I need.Do I need an exteranl sond card to run multi track in which is not midi?[/color]

Judge,
If you have an availabe USB port on Your computer I'd reccomend the "MIDISPORT 2x2". It's powered by your computer and gives you 2 MIDI in/outs.
I use one in/out to sync my SP12 to ACID 4.0 (which is the s#%t!!) and the second in/out to sync to Protools. Works well for me. Hope it helps. peace.[/color]
