installing hxc floppy emulator instead of old drive

Hi! Connected the HXC into my s950. Formatted 32gb SDHC transcend card in FAT format. Copied HXCSDFE.CFG from Config>Default folder. Now powered on my s950 and when trying to save it says that disk is unprepared you must format it, when trying to format - "disk is write protected". HELP!!!

I believe the idea is you must fill the card with disk images .. not just format the entire card.

first of all cant your load images into your s950?

in order to do this......

1, you need to run the latest version of the floppy emulator .exe software...then select akai s950 HD when creating the config file
2, for the s950 you need a resistor mod.....you can also order these from lothar....if you didnt specify when ordering then most likely you need to do this yourself too
(Add a 2.2Kohms Pull-up resistor on the read data line (= to R18 in the Akai S950))
3. you may need to update the firmware on your hxc drive? what version does it give when you turn it on? the latest version updates some sd's which werent recoginized
4. with your akai disk images you may need to convert them using the batch process so they get the .efe extension....
