Subwoofer & Sub bass

i really need a subwoofer in my studio

i can't correctly hear some phat as **** basslines from the likes of a$ap & all those other houston sounding cats

i recently got twin 12" subs for my ride n shit sounds good in there

my monitors are powered, what i have to do to add a subwoofer into the mix?

i haven't even seen studio subwoofers before?

i have m-audio bx8as & they're fairly bass heavy but until this new style of shit came out i have only realised how piss poor the bass is



i need to hear these basslines clearer ^ ^ ^

Havn a sub with monitors is nice. Real nice. I used to have the hs10W to go with my hs80s. It worked by having your main output plugged into it, and then it has a crossover To cut low frequencies that gets sent to your monitors.

The maudio sbx10 Looks to work the same.

yeah that sbx19 looks real nice

so it automatically cuts out the bass in ur speakers ay? kinda like splitter boxes u get for cars ay?

are there any other good brands of subs that are good value?

..and it's perfect, I hear every wanted and unwanted bass/hum that I don't hear without a sub. Helps alot when filtering out that junk.

Yep, it's great man, I usually keep the volume damn near all the way down, bass can get overpowering in a hot second.

If you don't take time to listen to your favorite songs, adjust bass freqs on the sub/samples/gear + pay attention when walking around and surveying your room (I have no sound treatment), you'll end up putting WAY too much bass in your songs.

Shakes my whole top floor of my house. I use it also to drive away birds sitting on my roof, shakes the hell outta the windows, lol.

can't believe i've never really noticed this sub bass lacking, tho i've never really had a car stereo sub to listen to my music thru until now

i don't wanna turn it up much but it def seems necessary to get your kicks & sub bass sitting right together

I used to find it was good every now and then to turn the speakers off and just listen to what is coming through the sub. good way to see if your track is muddy or not.

no sub anymore tho cos im in apartments..dam neighbours

not sure how true this is.. but to me it makes sense to stick with the sub that matches your monitors

I agree too. I mean, the manufacturer designed them to work together, so you're right, it only makes sense. :nod:

after reading this thread did quick search for sub to match my monitors found only one available that sold about a week ago on ebay for lil over cnote, fuk! :angry:
