mpc midi + another sampler

if you record a drum break and chop it inside the mpc and assign each chop to a pad on the MPC (kick on pad 1, snare on pad 2, etc.) and have the pad set to "DRUM" and you later want to sample the kick on pad 1 to a seperate sampler to pick up an effect and you want to trigger that sound back using the MPC to utilize the 16 levels and velocity, would you have to go back and change each pad from "DRUM" to "MIDI" everytime?
