Transfer MIDI files- MPC to LOGIC

Can this be done i want to create my drum sequence on the MPC and then transfer the midi file to LOGIC.
I tried arming a midi track in logic dedicated to my mpc midi inputs, and then hit record to send the midi files but it did not work.
Apparently it seems MPC doesn't work this way, but i am sure someone can prove me otherwise.

I've done it myself. What you do is connect the midi input into logic.. arm it to record and then play your sequence one instrument at a time setting also the channel numbers. You should also input pgm change messages along with your tracks so the computer knows what kit provided what sounds.

It "does" work but you had better have a good midi interface cause it's easy to get bad timing. I thought about going that route myself but it seemed stupid cause recording my final beat would require alot of processing power.

Sometimes I get really complex with my shit and I know the mpc can keep up with me. I figure eh the mpc has everything I could want in a sequencer so I'll worry about fx and colorful stuff after I've sequenced the beat and am ready to lay down the tracks. Makes sense to me and just think if you can't get your timing down on the mpc then you can always shift stuff around after you layed down all your separate tracks.

Anyway what you should be doing that will benifit you is to use the virtual synths and stuff. Amazing potential and the processing power fit for an army (pending on a large size military budget). Virtual sampers are very nice as well (giga studio, reason) as they can give you even more flexibility.

um are you just tring to just have logic play the mpc or are you tring to set up the midi tracks so you can record more than one tracks....well look at the midi time code cause what you will do is just have them sync on the same timing or numbers and have the computer be the master so when you hit record on logic it will tell the mpc to play...that way you can spread out your sounds on each track....

Why not just load the midi file from the MPC's disk into Logic?
