I have to ask yall this cause a few days ago i got my nord lead rack in the mail and i like the sound to it. Well on the back of the nord lead it has 4 outlets and one head phone jack and i decided to put the head phones on and give it a listen that way..........Whoa i almost crush my ear drums. I had to ask myself why did it sound so full coming out the head phones but not out the reg. outputs. Well after reading the book about it and it said that all the out puts 1-4 are mono and if you want to hear the lead in stereo connect to wires to 1 and 2. Before i did that i said let me connect this mono wire to the head phone jack.....I got a nice sound coming out of it that i like.....REAL PHATT SOUND. I did what the book sadi about connecting two mono jacks to two of the mono out jacks on the back of the nord lead to get a stereo sound....but i like the sound out the head phone jack better, plus doing it this way i could leave all four out puts connected to my sound card and not have to worry about connecting them and then reunconnecting them later. I said lets by bass the two stereo outs on the mpc and just connect one mono cord to the head phone jack.....The mpc 2000xl sounded alot better. It hit harder. A lil thick too. I also did the same thing with the motif es and it sounded good. Well if i connect a mono instruement wire to the head phone out jack of my gear will it do any damage to my stuff cause right now im liking the sound im getting. Do any of yall do this.
