Chicken systems translator and mpc1k

I have a few multisample instrument programs sitting on akai format cd's that I'd like to convert into something that will work on my 1k. does anyone have any experience doing this with the chicken system translator? I'd love to hear some feedback.

I'm running a black mpc1k with os2xl.

They got some cool software n are pretty good with updates....however if they promising hard copy of software to be shipped in the future don't expect to happen. Also their software isn't transferable.

Got my software on disc not too long ago and it has received couple of updates so don't worry when ordering.

Some ui, feature and translation issues/bugs are there but I still consider it an essential software to use with my S3000XL & MPC. I've transferred 'single programs' (multisamples) from CD's to my CF without any issues.

If you have more specific Q's I can try and answer them.

Thanks! I bought an orchestra library on a few akai cd's a while back. I've been using them with logics exs24 but I would like to load them up on my 1k.

On the translator webpage I see that there is support for 1k programs but I expect many compatibility issues (keymapping, no adsr, etc.)

I don't mind rebuilding the programs as os2xl inst .pgm but redoing the sustain looping is going to be hell.

If you can just give me a heads up on all the compatibility issues I can expect before I go out and by software that would be great.

I tried to convert a single violin multisample to mpc program but it didn't work 1:1. What I did was convert (using the Akai single program) included samples to wav files which I loaded to mpc.

Translator is able to merge separate L & R samples to a single stereo wav file, retain sustain loops (those are part of the audio file) and load them all in mpc no probs.

So you'd need to check the mapping (translator is able to visualize this) and create a similar INST program.
