Most Windows XP set ups do not read MPC formatted disks, although my spare PC (also XP) reads them fine (cant work out why though!). I never had a problem with Win98.

You cant format in a PC style on an MPC, so you'll need to format the disk on a PC - even though it doesn't recognise the disk, you should still be able to format it. Just put the disk in the drive, right click your zip drive in 'My Computer' and select 'Format' (select the quick format).
