Hey whats up people just a quick question. I just got a 2gb jaz drive and it came with a scsi cable. I tried to hook up the drive to mpc but it wont hook up properly. Should the "clip" part of the scsi cable go to the mpc? Is there another attachment i'm missing? If the clip part does go to the mpc, how do i get the other part of the scsi cable (the "thumbnails") to go the jaz drive? It seems that neither the jaz drive or the mpc, takes the thumbnails section of the scsi cable. Is there another connector i need? Does anyone have a name for it?? Thanks for any help.

The cables that come with external SCSI drives are normally 25pin-25pin. The XL has a 50pin micro SCSI-II port, so you'll need to get a different cable. In my experience, the clip end goes on the MPC, and the screw end goes in the drive - I've tried to get a 25-50pin cable with screws at both ends to provide a more stable connection at the MPC end, but I've yet to find one.

thanx alot tutor but do u have any idea as to the name of the cable? its like no one here knows what i'm talking about and im sure im not the only person here with a jaz drive. The jaz drive seems to have a 50 pin port as the clip part that attaches to the mpc can attach to it as well. Its just a matter of what to do with the thumbscrew part of the cable that cant attach anywhere! No one here have never exerienced this!? i find it hard to believe. thanx for any help

I think wat i need is the SCSI-2 50-Pin HD M to 50-Pin HD M Cable. It looks lite it will work, being that the 50 pin male part of my existing cable is the only thing that hooks up with both the jaz and the mpc. I let u know if it works. Hopefully these posts will help others who have the same probs. will holla....
