Standard multi-input Interface or Mackie Onyx series?

Anyone have any opionions? The Mackie works like an interface to your DAW as well, correct?

No personal experience but any owner of an Onyx Series product I spoke to was always pleased with it. (Many on this forum)

But yes you're correct they are mixers+firewire interfaces and interface with the DAW. So if you have need of a mixer+interface it's a great solution.

Thanks Meta, Mackie just sold another piece of gear. I have a standard DJ set up (2 turntables and 2 CH DJ mixer) plus an MPC so I feel a mixer is best.

That would be a great setup, 2 interfaces+DJ mixer and one interface is full on mixer too...routing heaven.

I love mine (1220i).

It makes routing the MPC through plugins and back into the MPC a 2 button process, rather than pissing around with software interface mixers.

I've also kept my Focusrite interface because it's possible to aggregate the two together with a Mac and use the midi and digital connections. I'm still in the testing phase with that though, so I can't comment on how well it works.
