Is it possible to make Logic's beat clock continuous, like t

Is it possible to make Logics midi beat clock always on?

For instance:

When I had my Korg MS2000 synced to my MPC, the MS2000 screen always read (EXT).

Now that I am syncing it to Logic, it only switches to EXT when I press play or record. Otherwise when Logic is stopped it defaults to ---.

Is this just the way it is and i have to get used to it or is there a workaround?

The MIDI clock is very continuwee. Like a Willy Wonka Gobstopper. It flows like a constant waterfall, its not the finger, its the moon homey.

I think that's just the way it is mate, how can a sequencer send clock signals when it's not running?

@Clint- Makes sense. It's just odd not seeing the EXT on all the time on the Korg. Just used to the MPC after all these years I guess.

Yeah, gear will leave you scratching your head sometimes. Different manufacturers implement different schemes to support their own features and products.
