Are there anyone have and using the Roland VP9000 Sampler?

I just got it delivered today. I paid $250 and it looks brand new. Not a mark on it with expanded memory up to 10 minutes of stereo sample time. It was $3000 new at the time of release. I wanted one at the time and came close to buying it. Wasn't sure about it, to spend $3000.

Testing it out now. Thick manuals, got to do some readings. Planning midi sync to my ren and a midi keyboard. Then sample the output.

Is there anyone here that use it before? I like to hear your opinion.

Might also be worth checking out the VariOS module as well, it has come right down as well, and is a later model using the same technology.

Good looking, I saw the hardware when it was released on roland website. But, I didn't pay it any mind. I guess it was the way it look, that didn't peak my interest. After seeing some videos on youtube. I'm sorry I didn't follow it.

Had the variOS a few times.Great unit if you can get the v producer software to work on you comp(needs it).Also had the v-synth xt,another sampling powerhouse.All unique sounding and high quality results,amazing fx.enjoi

Yes, keeping the computer editing software for these synths running is the long term problem.
