synth and MPC + midi

i want my tracks to be very precisely on point, even my synth... so i was wondering if Timing Correct on the MPC would be applied to something like a MicroKorg that I would have MIDI'd up with the MPC 1000 like this..

Microkorg MIDI Out --> MPC 1000 MIDI In
MPC 1000 MIDI Out --> Microkorg MIDI In

MPC Audio Outs ---> Mixer Channel 1
Microkorg Audio Outs --> Mixer Channel 2

IF...i lay down my drums within the MPC sequencer and Im ready to record a synth bass from the MicroKorg to match perfectly to the kick and snare hits (since Timing Correct would be on), would this work? Would the MPC "auto-correct" my MicroKorg notes, according to what I have TC% set to?

Yes, and yes.

The MPC is a MIDI sequencer.

The timing correct function can apply to whatever you record into the MPC sequencer, it does not differentiate between sequencer events based on the destination being the internal MPC sampler, or an external MIDI device.
