interface/ laptop question

hi all

i just bought this unit:

RME HAMMERFALL HDSP MULTIFACE Audio / Midi I/O Box Interface

i bought it to upgrade my possibilities in terms of sound quality when recording (from mpc, software, laptop, midi, etc).

to connect it to my laptop, i'd have to got this mentioned addition? the piece itself cannot work directly with my laptop? is it not a "card" itself?

Yes, that is why it says that in the decription of the product.

Yes, the laptop will have to have a Cardbus slot, for the Cardbus adapter to plug into.
