Zoom R8, Condenser Mic, Turntable!!!

Hows it going,
Ive been producing and rapping for a while but my producing slowed down alot. Kinda hard to get into that creative mood to make a beat on fl studio(what ive used to make instrumentals since i started). I caught an interest to get some analog equipment to help spark my production side and i was looking to get a simple set up, the Zoom R8 multitrack recorder, a turntable, a keyboard and a Condenser mic. Will this set up be good in achieving good hiphop/boombapness flavor that im looking for. i want to start simple and i feel this set of equipment could get it done, plus i think itll be dope if i actually complete a whole project with just analog and no computer, what yall think?

forgot to mention i already have the mic, keyboard. id just be getting the zoomr8 and a turntable to add to what i already have. i would cop an mpc if i had the doe but i dont plus i already set my mind to get the zoomr8, i actually asked for it for christmas so hopefully my wife gets it.

doesnt that have a built in drum machine sampler type of thing as well?

yes it does, its a multitrack/mixer, sampler with built in rhythm machine

yeah i think i was looking at the r16 (i think the 12 doesn't have the sampler in it.. but the biggest one does.. right?) and i looked at some videos but it didn't look like it was for me.. it seemed a bit too tedious for me since i don't require to work around that issue since I have a pile of shit around here to make beats on... but maybe if you are willing to work towards creating a workflow.. then do it.

yeah it doesnt make sense that they would bypass the sampler for the bigger model. but yeah im willing to tinker around and master the little thing and create and learn a nice work flow for myself, i think technology has killed creativity. trying to get back to simplicity. i only want a hand full of equipment so that it will force me to make music with the things that i have. i think alot of people end up buy new things because they havent totally mastered what they already have and get frustrated and get a new piece of equipment.
