MPC MIDI

Hi, relatively new midi user here. I must apologize in advance for the novel.

I currently use an mpc (1000 w/ jjos1) to control 2 synths via midi.

Two major questions regarding MIDI (and a minor one).

1. I want to expand each midi out by replacing the desktop synths with, say, 2 sound modules. Each midi cable has 16 'tracks', would I not be able to play multiple synth lines (tracks) thru one cable? and playing one sound module? The idea is to hypothetically have one midi out controlling one sound module playing at least two synth lines, and have the other midi out doing the same, equaling 4(+) parts. Is this a thing or am I tripping?
1.5(Also, Can I backpack two synths down the same line so that the first synth's midi out into second synth's midi in? Does second synth just play the same midi data as the first synth?)

2. I would like to "clock"(?) a drum machine with the mpc. I would like it to start with my mpc concurrent to playing samples and controlling said synths. Do I have to sacrifice one of my midi outs? Or could I sync it with one of the synths that are being controlled?

But I am still a bit lost.

So I can have midi out A going to synth 1, midi thru from synth 1 to midi in on synth 2, and so on. How do I tell my mpc that midi tracks 1A, 2A, and 3A go to synth 1, and midi 4A, 5A go to synth 2 (example)?

1. yes it's how it is basically, mpc1000 outputs 32 channels (16x2). 2 Inputs are merged to 16 channels BTW

One goes A and u use tracks 1A-16A, other B and tracks 1B-16B

1.5 both will receive same data, but still you can play say, 1A-8A synth x, and 9A-16A synth y IF there is MIDI filter on synths, or you can get those track muted on synth, check your manuals for some ifs and hows

2. you can send clock together with other info as well

Okay this has been very helpful. I think I've figured most of it out. I'm using my MK first then a Jx-3p from the MK's midi thru as the MK has midi filter but this Roland dinosaur doesn't.

This might now be the place for it, but does anyone else have issues when loading a track on mpc? If I have more than one program it doesn't load them at all. I just load the program's again and choose "replace" and it always works, but this seems like a stupid work around.

Feel free not to answer that last question as I can likely find the answer somewhere else on the board.

Also often my JX3P will start the sequence in a totally wrong key for the first note or two. Should I just ditch this thing?

They both have midi thru, but one of them will just play whatever is going into it; not midi filter or track mute
