Hey, locally a music store went bankrupt so I stopped by the place where a company is liquidating their stock.

Anyhow long story short, I got a brand new 8 channel hosa snake, a pouch for a mic (one of those zipper ones) and this beat counter for under 9 bucks..

I have to say, I grabbed the beat counter because the guy threw it in for free to get rid of it.. he had a pile of brand new ones that never got sold. It's pretty damn awesome. It's a tap tempo button box that takes 2 AAA batteries. You click 8 times and it tells you the tempo (XXX.XX) and if you click it a 9th time it tells you bars per minute.. keep clicking and it does those two things over again.. 8 clicks for bpm, 1 for bars per minute.

if you hold the button for 2 seconds.. it puts it in stop watch mode.. click to start, click to stop.. click again to reset.. hold for 2 seconds and it goes back to tap tempo.

if you see one on the cheap, grab it. Sure all your gear has it built in already.. but it's cool as a little gadget.. guitar players have their tuners lying around and now we can have out beat timers lying around.

oh and the build quality is good.. the button is solid and goes in about 1/5th of an inch and it's about 1/2" by 1/2" square.

Behringer BC1000 (i know, me promoting a behringer product... gasp)
