Mackie DFX12 12x2 Mixer with EFX??

Has anybody used this mixer with there MPC ?
they are really cheap but I don't know anything about mixers.

Should I get it? or is this more for live shows??

i havent used it yet but the teen center i work at ordered one today ill be able to tell you in like a month if its good for you...
