anyone have an Edirol PCR-A30

if you do, how is it working out for you? i'm jonesing for one of these....

I prefer the Radium 49 or 61.I looked at the A30 but it's basicly the same thing.THe Radium is more in my price range though.So if you get the A30 let me know what you think of it.

yeah the m-audio stuff is more in my price range too.

but im looking at the a30 because

a) it has an audio interface that will go out the usb cable. the ozone has that but it doesn't have

b) a midi in. this will allow me to midi in and out of the mpc, as well as taking the audio out of the mpc - and getting it all into the pc through one usb cable at the same time.

cause right now i have a midi usb cable running from the mpc to my pc (controlling soft synths) but since my laptop soundcard is so bad ive been running a usb external soundcard for recording. and my pc cant handle having the soundcard and the usb midi cable running at once.

see thats the idea.

if it works it seems like it would be a clean and portable setup for playback and recording (even on a crappy comp) as long as i dont get too into multitracking into the pc (which ill get into once i have desktop) and even then the PCR would stiull come in handy for control and a live rig.....

i just got the edirol pcr50 last nite at around 930 havent really had time to mess with it but from what i was messing with it ,it world like a charm i just have to figure out how to get my own sounds from the mpc into the keyboard. but the sliders work and afew other buttons work inreal time
cant wait to really get it workin tomorrow or this weekend.
