Production MPC preferences and wishes

Hey guys, Im a senior Industrial Design student and am making a MPC for finger drumming and sampling for my senior thesis. I'd like to know what features you value in your current MPC's such as digital displays, scroll wheels, effects knobs exc.. I am curious as to what also you would like to see in MPC's that might not be currently offered. I personally own an MPD 32 and prefer having a digital display, however i wish I had backlighting on my pads for visual feedback.
