Using Octavers and Sub Harmonizers!??!

I'm thinking of using Sub Harmonizer or an Octaver on my Filtered
Basslines something like this one below By Electro Harmonix. Has anyone
ever use a Sub Harmonizer or a Octaver on a Beat?? If so,What were the Results??

There is one called the sub something and its the make and model I would suggest...
I know a producer uses it all the time...Ive used it and man is it wild....

It pitches whatever you got down an octave...
or more...
So for basslines it helps...
it also pitches them down with no time stretch

I like it cause you can do the low end theroy with this and come out with a banging bass sample that sounds like it came from a bass player..

Good filters and some allow you to change the bass sound..
round hard buzzy etc..

Also try and get the rack moun`t version rather than a foot pedal...

beware of digital, time-based octavers

They have less of a bass amp drive that you want they come out thin and grainy

I second that. i've tried just about every software octaver available, and they all sounded pretty bad compared to that dbx. A friend of mine has one and he uses it to add some serious oomph to his basslines. He produces drum&bass, so i'm not 100% sure it will work the same for the low end theory.
