What OS are you running....I have this sitting here in my set up (Dont use it much) but i just turned it and had a look at the OS it is running. Im on 1.21. Just found out latest/current is 2.26

Any1 running this...Am I missing something here? I wonder if the os has anything to do with the following problem

It appears my key mapping is a little twisted. patches start from like 2octives in (No low end) Had a look and according to each patch, the key range is from C-2 upto G9 but still I getin this awkward mapping. Im about to throw this thing in the bin

If I recall correctly the 2.x series was originally released only for certain ROM's which contained the beats & phrases(?). This was just a fancy way of setting up mini sequences/arpeggiators for each key and you could start and stop each on the fly. This was nothing that you could not re-create with an MPC + 1.xx version module yourself.

Emu used to have 2 tracks of updates, the 1.xx and 2.xx to signify this difference. At one time running 2.xx with a ROM designed for 1.xx OS did not get you any of the new features since the ROM did not support it. It appears that they may have consolidated the two and somehow addressed/ignored this issue.

As for the key mapping issues....I reckon |I solved it....well atleast to my satisfaction. I jus dropped the tuning to --24 so the patch starts lower
