Thanks in advance for your responses. I'm new to MPC so bear with me. I'm looking for a sampler that has the following functionality:

1. Can be played live without a computer.
2. Be able to take hi-hat MIDI control signals from a Roland SPD-30.
3. Have PC software that allows you to drag and drop wave files onto pads, which saves them onto the MPC for live performance without a computer.

While there are caveats... and possibly samplers could work just as well here...

I'll second Neurone... but also add... any of MPC Live/X/One can give you this functionality out of the box... but the software gives you the specific drag/drop you're looking for. Some of the older MPCs can get you this functionality in various ways, but you'd be jumping through a few extra hoops... easiest to just stick with the latest gear in my opinion.
