am i right in thinking that it has a scsi port? if it does, can you use a zip drive with it? and if you can use a zip drive with it - does the 250mb zip work with it? - i know some older equipment has limits on the amount of storage it will recognise.

well member "mpc3000" told me that the s900 I sold didn't have a scsi port......I didn't care anyway it wouldn't had done me much good when the memory is mad tiny.....so it might be tru on the s950 also...but I think I remember someone mentioning that the s950 does have scsi!

thanks for your answer... do you reckon that you could use a zip drive with one then?

It's almost impossible to find an S950 with the SCSI upgrade. They sometimes pop up on Ebay, but very rarely and they usually sell for a lot....

You won't be able to get the IB-109 interface separately.

Good luck!

Make sure you're not confusing a SCSI port (as I said, you see them rarely) with the RS-232C port (every S950 has one). It looks like SCSI, but it's not and can not be used with a Zip drive....

if a s950 has SCSI installed it will also have Digital In, and an Optical Input... these are all located on the same expansion card, which is called the IB-109...

these are pretty rare, so i doubt your s950 has it...

i think the limit for a SCSI HD on the s950 is somewhere around 70mb...
