I'm contemplating on these 2 different monitors. I've heard the Event TR8 in Samash, but they didn't have the Behringer, I was wondering if anyone has used both pair? Which ones would you recommend and which one has a better flat response? Thanks in advance

Well...no one asked my opinion but...the Events are over 130bucks more than the Beringers. My boy has the 2031a (8in Drivers 225w) and they are NO slouch. Now.. I agree the Events do sound better, but not by much.
If you do get the Beringers you wont be disappointed. In this game we call bedroom production, value is important too. With the savings you could spend on some other gear. Unless money is not an object, I would give the Beringers a serious listen..

Really depends on what you are going to be using them for. I would go with the TR to mix and the 2031a for listening pleasure.

Damn ya'll confusing me. Money is an object, I just don't want to buy monitors and have to get a new pair in a couple of months because they don't sound too good. None of the stores around here have the Behringers that's why I asked if anyone has used both. They are cheaper too. I'm going to use them mostly for beat making and trying to "master my music". I could use that 150 for something else like you said on something else that I need.

There's always going to be something better that costs more, so do what you do. If you had said Event TR8 or Mackie HR824, most people would've sasid the Mackie. If you said Mackie or Tannoy, most people would say Tannoy. Tannoy or Genelec, people would probably say Genelec. The point is, there's always going to be something better that costs more. What it really comes down to is how well YOU know YOUR monitors.

No doubt Frankly I feel you on that. I've made up my decision and I'm rolling with the Behringers. I guess I'll step my game up when I get a lot of customers
