Hello. Hope everyone is well.

I'm sure I'm not the first one to ask about this, but I'll go for it anyway. Lol.

As far back as I can remember, I've always strung my gear together via MIDI. Every interface I've ever owned, have had MIDI ports. I've always been able to press play on Pro Tools (master), and my MPC 2500 (slave) and the rest of my gear would start playing. This, of course, is especially helpful during tracking out my songs, if I make a few 8-track passes, everything would line up nicely. Now.. ..to my amazement, my new Firewire Apollo interface has no MIDI ports.

So how do I get my gear to play follow the leader? Is it something in the settings somewhere? Anybody else in here get their MPC to play nice with an Apollo?

Thanks in advance to those who can point me in the right direction.

My suggestion would be...get more rather than less. You don't necessarily need a full 8x8 interface like what I'm showing, but something more than a mere 1x1. You'll always find it an necessity when or if you decide to expand. The midi I/O on my audio interfaces don't get used at all.

Probably a good idea. Thanks.
Can I have the exact make & model?

Check the provided link. Doesn't have to be this particular model, but something of an example. There's other products to check out like NearTao said, but I've always been a MOTU midi user myself.

I tried one of these. It didn't solve my issue. Maybe something I should be changing in the settings, idk.

Indeed there is something not right configured in your settings. You have to set logic's midi out to sync, and the mpc to receive sync.

Here's a great tutorial by mpc tutor about how to sync up logic and the mpc.
