I know some cats got a lot more, but I do just fine wit what I got.  I'm 20 years old, my own crib, been out since I was 18, and I got all this wit out the help of my parents.  So I'd say I'm pretty well of given my circumstances.  :cool:  I'm happy![/color]

This is to Remedial:
I don't recommend that sound card because it produces a lot of what is called "Latency."  I'll assume you don't know what that is.  Say you hit play on the MPC.  Cubase won't register the sound at the exact moment or even close to when you hit play.  The key word is 'Late.'  You can get by with very little latency.  But the Extigy causes a lot of it.  Don't get it for recording.

I'm looking at buying a Akai Dps-16. I have a PC but I don't use it to work with music ( It's a stinking Compaq Pre-sorry-ho' ) I not sure I even want to try. Am I missing anything other than the DAW/Multi track recorder?[/color]

Peep game, if u got a pc, get a Emu APS. DOPENESS FOR CHEAP
its based on the same chip as the soundblaster live plat. but it has asio drivers=almost no latency
plus all the in's and out's are Pro quality, and all are 1/4 inch. 2 rca digital i/o's 4 analog ins 2 analog outs, with nice efx on the card, i never use their midi synths but for using a pc for recording its damn nice, and u can get 'em on ebay for less then 50 bucks.
i dont care to use 24 bit sc's because my mpc is 16 bit so what does it matter, plus i always fiind myseld "mucking" up samples to make em grimey anyhoo.[/color]

sb live has mad latency the drivers are crap
check out apslive.com if you have a sb live, u can use the apo asio drivers for the live. not as dope sound quality but its good....[/color]

Sound Blasters have 0 customer supportI had the Live Platinum card and it NEVER WORKED! The customer support is ALL AUTOMATED! You cant talk to a live person. And dont even get started talking abiut LATENCY DAMN! your better off spending your money on some "PRO" sound card  for around $200.[/color]
