never seen a turntable with or dj mixer with midi outs, but it'd be a cool idea.

a CD turntable or a vinyl turntable?

i dont think either exist.

they actually can transcribe scratching performences, but i dont think it'd be possible to midi them

final scratch is not midi. it is not what he is lookin for. Final scratch just makes mp3s playable with time coded wax that refernces where it is to the mp3s time.

this is what he is lookin for

With that EJ thing you'd be using your turntable as a midi controller, not as a sound module.

To use a turntable as a sound module would mean that you trigger the turntable's sounds via midi. This is, of course, impossible. There is a device that lets you midi-trigger sounds taken from records - it's called a sampler.

Yes, the CDX has midi but there is no apparent use for it as of yet. Numark hasn't put out anything to show how it's to be used.
