do peps with protools have this problem

OK, Here is the deal. MY SET UP: my MPC4000, Proteus 2000 (sound module), and my Korg M1 as my keyboard controler. I have all of this running into my P4 (2.6g) with 1.5 gigs of ram and a Layla 20bit sound card.
MY PROBLEM: is that I cant have two or mor channels of vsti's running in a seq (which is being played in by my MPC4000)at the same time.
EXAMPLE: I have channel 1 set up in the MPC and channel 1 set up in Nuendo. This plays through nicely. now when I add another channel to the mix lets say channel 2 (meaning I have the mpc and nuendo set and locked onto channel 2)and I play form either my MPC or Keyboard it plays both channels 1 and 2. In my opinion if my MPC tell nuendo to only play channel 1 or channel 2 it should only play 1 or 2 just ass it does when it tells the sound module to only play channel 1 or channel 2 or 3 or 16.
MY QUESTION: Is there a setting I can turn on or off to make this happen as it should?

Since protools doesn't support VST's I don't have this problem. I'll ask a friend about this. I assume you're rocking Cubase?

NUENDO 2.0 BUT ITS ALL THE SAME

I run VST's (VST/RTAS adapter form fxpansion)in PT but I don't have this problem. Are you unarming the first track?

Yes there is a solution, Nuendo two lets you set up a filter per channel so that the active track only responds to a specific midi channel.

Nuendo is the shyt, don't buy into the pro tools marketing, the only thing that can fock with nuendo is logic, but it's less intuitive. Sonar has advantages over protools.

there's a post by ieism that explains it, he taught me in that post. But if you got the midi filtering to work then congrats, it isn't easy to figure that out.
