I do nearly everything on my MPC and I was wondering if there's a quick way to get my tracks onto a portable player for playback? At the moment I export onto my SD card then transfer the card to my Mac and then add the tracks to Files and I can access it from my iPhone. In fairness it's a pretty reasonable task. But I was wondering if I bought a portable music player could I just stick the SD card in and play them directly from that?

Anyone else do this? Or at least know what models might support such a thing?

I have 2 of these.
Simple interface: just copy/paste your folder
Good battery life
Plays everything from .WAV to .FLAC

I don’t rec paying extra for the x5 or x7
The m3k is not bad but I still prefer the x1 or x3

I had a DP but I sold it.
I keep a fostex MR8 around for quick recordings/playback . . . . . . .

Just to close this off, I ended up getting a Shanling player second hand which does exactly what I want. The MPC recognises it as a hard drive over USB so I can export tracks directly to it.

It also works nicely as a USB DAC for my Mac which was an unexpected bonus!
