Hello all,

I have a motife es 6 which i use along with my MPC 2000 (sampler/sequencer).. Some sounds i will get from the motif es , other sounds i will get from my Planett Phatt/JV 1080 synths... I want to sell my roland A-33 midi controller which I use to use to controll my modules (making the ES my primary controller for all) but im not if it will be easy to switch back and forth between getting the sounds from my es6 and these other modules... I know on the MPC I have channel A&B which A will be for the motif and B will be for the othe other 2 modules, but is there a internal setting i will have to use to switch back in forth on the motif to when im not getting internal sounds from there..Hope what im asking is understood...

Just turn Local control off on the Mo and you'll be straight.

first of all if you dont have your motif ess local control turn off when using it with the mpc, your sounds arent sounding right. I set my motif es so that when i power up the local cotroll is turn off. For the most part you only need it turn on when your using the motif es buy itself and the mpc is turn off. I have a nord lead rack and thats midi up the mpc from the midi in of of nord lead to the mpc midi out. the motif es is midi up the mpc from midi a and midi out 1( whatever prettty much the same way yours is.). If your motif is midi device A: then if will only sound when you set up to for the that device. When your on midi device b: your other devices will sound but you can control them from the motif es as a controler. This cool. the only draw back i have is that i have the have the mpc on if i want to play with the nord lead but over allt hats no prob. Have fun!
