Once again: MPC/MIDI Question; Yamaha AW16G with tha 2000XL

Im trying to midi-sync my Yamaha AW16G hd-recorder with my 2000 XL. So tat when I press Record-Play on my AW16G, the 2000 XL starts playin.

I've read the tutorials on mpc-tutor.com, plus done a littlebit of research.... BUT!

I think I need a detailed briefing for this one, I can't seem to get that MPC playing with MIDI!!!
