so i am using
g4 with audiowerk2 card

mpc to behringer mixer
mics to behringer mixer

behringer mixer to sound card in g4

sound card in g4 out to stereo reciever

so i have the beat all recorded in logic and i play it back and the vocalist is using the headphones plugged into the reciever but for some reason i am only getting one side (right channel) working.  this is pretty wack and i cant figure it out because when i am done recording and bounce to disk the recording comes out on cd in stereo.  i have no idea why this is doing this.

i checked all the cables, made sure all the tracks in the mixer of logic are in stereo and i just dunno

thanks

Convert the vocal track in your recording software to stereo.

Its either your headphones,  the cabe connection between your  soundcard and reciever, or the output assignments in  Audiowerk are not correct.  Thats all I've got.  Good luck.

I'm not familiar with logic or ur sound card.  But if possible assign ur headphone mix via aux sends.  If u have a headphone amp u can give each emcee a seperate aux bus and change different track levels if ur dealing with cats who need a different mix each.  Regardless just make sure ur cables are stereo.  If a L + R signal are jammed via one channel or a mono cable the sound will be phased out or come out mono (panned to one side).  I've been on both sides of that situation and it can f*ck up the vibe.  Maybe that helps something.

so for some reason the only thing during the recording process that i get in both channels is the final product after i mixdown all the vocal and instrumental tracks together.  so i figured that its something before mixdown, anyways, all i did was take the channel that is working while recording and y adapter it into the stereo so that i do get sound in both ears.  its seems ghetto but works.

i hope i dont have this problem when i upgrade to either 001 or audiophile2496 on osx
