well, both are boards are nice, i dont know if you plan on using the samplers, but both boards can sample. you can manipulate the sounds on the triton a little better in my opinion and touch screen is nice. i think the motif has a real rich sounds in it though. thats a hard choice bcz they both offer so much, but, honestly i think the sounds from the motif are better, but the triton is more user friendly and better for manipulating sounds. so it just depends on your taste or your preference. Again i dont think you can really go wrong with either one, they are both REALLY nice boards.

Go to a music store and get a demo. They both have similar functions, pro's and con's.. either is a good choice but some people prefer the sounds of the Triton, while others (like me) prefer the Motif.

The only thing good about the Triton are it's string sounds, other than that, that shit sounds way too Casioish....I'd say peep the Motif, the drums hit hard as shit on that ****.
I don't like the sequencer on the Triton either, seems a little to loose for me.

Its got MAD effects to play with, you will get lost...especially with the tweaking. You can really get down on that board with the FX it has.

i can really tell by how many times you posted it.......the triton is a cool a$$ piece of gear.....i tell you if you owned the machine you will miss it when it is gone....all you have to do is use the effects and EQ properly....that is my gripe about the gear/that is also a reason why i love it......it doesn't sound casio-ish when i use it.......i wouldv'e got rid of it......i own a casio b4.......matter of fact it is still around here.....so i wouldn't need another casio-ish keyboard.....ha ha ha.....the motif is great.....can not tell you about the seqencer mode.....and the motif is 24 bit....the strings are not as good as the triton(imo) but everything else is on point on the motif........

LoL that was a mistake posting it 4 times. I thought the message didn't go thru but it did. Where is the Triton's EQ feature? Isn't that those four knobs on the left of the touch screen or does it have a virtual EQ feature?
I don't know I make house so I look for off the wall synthy sounds and I didn't like the drums or synths on the Triton, I only liked the strings.

the EQ feature is in the menu....it is a 3band EQ in the master effects.....you can really liven up the sound with that and some effects and itz a wrap.....about you not liking the drums or the synths all of that could be altered in the internal memory!.....that machine is under-estimated by alot of people!......if you wanna learn something tritons can really help with that....if you want everything handed to you cop a motif.....motifs sound real authenic and all but all of the effects and stuff is there....when you put sounds in the tritons sequencer it is almost bare.......room for you to doctor up!......

Wow I didn't know that. I use to use one at school for my class but they didn't teach me that in there.

The fact that motif gives you lot more so that you dont got to tweak is good thing right. but dont get it twisted you can also tweak the hell out of the motif. Its really all in your own head what can or cant be done once you understand what you can do. Im not triton hater...i plan to get one this fall but right now i got a motif.
Beatz is life and life is beatz, so when you tell me to "get a life" you must mean make another beat.
