is it possible to change the sample rate on the s950, i know how to change the bandwith but how do i change the sample rate?
in the manual it says that both the bandwith and the samplerate is continuosly variable.

but i never found where to put the sr down.

It definitely has adjustable sample rates, I am not a s950 owner so I don't know how, I might have the pdf manual for it cause I was gonna buy a 950... pm me with ur email and if I have the pdf manual on my comp still I can email it to you.

you have it correct... you can only adjust by the bandwidth... i dont know the equation to figure out the samplerate, BUT.... do this: adjust bandwidth, use an educated guess as to where you want it to be, then go into REC mode, sample EXACTLY ONE SECOND, then after you have recorded your ONE SECOND sample, go into EDIT SAMPLE, go to the pages where you can adjust the SOFT START and/or SOFT END... the answer to your question will be on both of these pages!!! THE NUMERIC VALUE OF THE LENGTH OF YOUR SAMPLE (1 second) IS IN FACT THE SAMPLERATE... since samplerate=number of samples per second, this technique is pretty easy to understand...

hope that helps...

also,

in the s950 manual, it has a chart showing different instruments and their RECOMMENDED bandwidths at which to sample... it should be easy enough to find a downloadable users manual to get this chart...
