Would this be a good soundcard for recording multi tracks on a computer?

Right now im just doing beats, but when I move I plan on getting a full studio set up.

Would this be good for the mixer mpc and all the other equipment I will be needing?

Generally, Soublaster's aren't that good. I dunno about the Audigy Platinum, but I'd pass. I'd rather get an Echo Mia ($99 at guitar center) and a MidiSport, or an M-Audio Audiophile 2496. Soundblaster's aren't really professional audio, more like consumer level.

Audigys have very good sound qualility, and if you only intend using it for playing back soft synths it's a good cheap option - the standard Audigy is the best buy though at £40 ($60) new.

If you are looking for a pro recording solution forget anything by Creative - they are not designed for musicians, only for gamers.
