midi problem w/ triton and 1k

i just recently borrowed my friends triton studio and tried 2 midi it up to my 1k but, it does not want 2 work. I own a motif ES and i have the midi set up just like i have it on the triton(local control OFF, midi clock EXTERNAL) its wierd because i can play the sounds on the pads but, not on the triton via midi.

this has got to be the closest wierdes almost double post I've ever seen.

Moving to mpc studio environments. haha you just cut copy pasted and changed gear.

BTW. If you turn local control off and you dont have a midi handshake you aint gonna hear shit-you just turned off the keys!
