Scsi to Firewire? will it work?

Has anyone tried to use a SCSI to fire wire adapter and hook up an external firewire drive to there 2000xl?

my zip crapped out and im looking to buy something a little larger and more efficient.

If i need to get a scsi drive anyone have any recommendations?
