Which MPC?

What software are you using to write CDs?

i'm using 2000xl to burn cd's i've tried the send to D: drive and write files to cd rom from there, i've tried making both data disc and music disc using hp record now. all of the cd's that i used have wave files on them but only the one that i burned as data worked in the cd rom player shouldnt the cd rom player recognize all wave files or is there a specific wave file type that i should be saving sounds as. i have 9 cds with just drum kicks, hats, snares the play on my regular cd player(boom box) but wont load as wave files :?: is there a guaranteed way to copy wave files with out having to waste my disc after all i do only get 50 for $10(lol)

"only the one that i burned as data worked in the cd rom player "

Isn't that your answer?

Also, CD's that play in your boom box are not WAV files. You would have to convert them to wave files.

Change the tuning for the samples to -12 and see if that is better. Sometimes there is embedded info about the WAV files that some peices of gear use and others do not.

"Change the tuning for the samples to -12 "

do you mean before i copy to cd rom or after i load the sounds onto the mpc. i have a question is there a limitation on the time of sounds sampled to be placed on cd. for instance i put 7 diffrent folders on one cd rom 4 of the folders are drum sounds each folder only uses about :55 sec. to 1:00 min ,but the other 3 folders are filled with samples some single samples are 1:00 min by themselves some longer and i have all the banks and pads full for all 3 of these folders as well as the drum folders. one of the sample folders says it's like 16:00 min can this cause the problem.
