mpc 2000 lcd screen

does anybody know where i can get an replacement lcd screen for the mpc 2000? Mine is almost completely faded out. Is there anyway i can try taking the mp apart and cleaning it?

if its fading i dont think its the screen thats the prob.but the back light...i may be wrong

Yeah, I just sent a mail to that midirakte dude, because of my broken display. Cool service, but i have to replace my whole Display, not only the backlight, `caus it shows lines.... **** up, thats expensive....
The only place i know to get the display is akai service here in germany an thats `bout € 200...
