Pro Tools

What up MPC fam,
I have a question about pro tools. I don't have the system yet, but I am thinking about investing. I mean really I don't have a choice it seems. My question is this. Is the system hard to learn, should I plan on taking a class on it, and Once I save it on the system the sounds are saved also, right. I don't have to take everything i.e. sound modules, to the another studio. Just the disk right? Thanks for the help

Get your self a book called " PRODUCING IN THE HOME STUDIO WITH PROTOOLS" by david franz. It also comes with a c-rom. You can record all your shyt at home then just take your disk to any big studio for additional mixing , editing, etc....Protools aint hard 2 use.

Kool is right. That book is pretty helpful, but there are lots of other books to choose from and Digidesign has a lot of online tutorials now to help you. I think if you've never used a mixer before, you'll have to used to that kind of thinking. If you've never used a sequencer before you'll have to get used to those terms and process too. But, Kools said it already,Itit ain't hard to use."
