if this worked with mpc pads had rewire and could use vsts instruments, it would be crazy!!!! and u could record scratching on it like 4 or 8 tracks! would be real productive!

i like it! we sould try and advance on this right here!!any body talk to this dood!!! when i hit the planes and hotels and only got my lap top this is the truth!!! save it, come home drop a sd card in my 2000xl and its all right there dope!!!!!! any way to be more productive on the rode is a plus for me, and if i was gonna take somthing on the rode out other then my lap top, i rather just take my 2000xl on the rode then spend more money and buy a 1000 to relearn that,

they neva had software like this back when i was starting out with beats if they did there woulda been no need to mess with harware and spend all that cash.

It looks like GURU . I have GURU it's no MPC not even close. It's kidda WAK to tell you the truth. Good soundbank though.

What's wrong with Guru? I haven't had a chance to try it out yet but it looks decent.

It's just weak sounding. MIDI Sequencing sux from a DAW. It's unstable as a stand alone app. Crashes when you try to copy things from one pad to another . I use it as a sketch pad for my MPC to see if samples sound right together and to get a rough idea of what the loops will sound like. It's cool for Layering drum sounds but you cant export as a Wav or Aiff. As a stand alone there is no way of sequencing patterns. I have made some cool beats with it but there is plenty of room for improvment. If it were a $100 bucks Like fruityloops than it would be awesome but at $250 I was dissapointed. try the demo and see if you dig it . Dont take my word for it Different strokes for Different folks.

I dig GURU a lot. First off, it's a drum machine, not a sequencer, so it's not capable of all the things a sequencer is capable of. And as a drum machine, IMHO, it excels. The sound quality is no different than anything else you load wav files into. Getting to the sounds you want and editing them is mad easy, it has nice sounding effects, and the "slice to pad" function is pretty convenient. It's not perfect. I don't like the global "groove" and the slice function only spreads the sample out to a max of 16 pads.

Overall, again, I really like it.

If you are gonna use Guru,
Snatch samples from CDs etc in a DAW and save as wave
turn the Guru engine volume all the way up. It will sound exactly like the CD

GURU aint perfect but it definately doesnt sound weak. Infact sounds in Guru (with the engine vol turned up) sound exactly like the same sound placed in my MPC 4000.

NOW PROGRAMMING is a different story (I'll keep using my MPC

I just downloaded the rs16x and the guru demo they are both pretty awesome I still find that the mpc has better timing correct and work flow(I can go through the menus on my mpc 1000 really quick) But to start out before dropping $1000 I would use these for sure. Just remember there IS a MPC sound/feel and it hard to get that from a computer.

really im gonna be honest wit yall software cats/ GURU is VERY powerful. It can be used as a standalone or vst plugin. It is truely powerful. It also has pads like the mpc. look i dont wanna hype it up but just try it out.

i have done some really nice beats on it. i like it better then FL and thats the truth

yeah and no offense but it would make you look whack and make the crowd bored.

ive seen plenty of people play shows will laptops and it isnt very cool.

(my opinion anyway)
