Who ever told you the Mo Phatt was played out either doesn't have one or isn't creative to begin with. Either you got it or you don't. Other than that my advice is go out to Guitar Center or something and field test some equipment and get a feel of the sounds yourself. No body knows what gets your creative juices going better than you.

I have a Mo Phatt and trust me it is not played out it's still the Hotness. If you know how to tweak the sounds the possibilities are endless, whether you are sampling from it to your MPC or playing it through a controller it is Dope either way.

In addition to the Mo' Phatt I also reccomend getting the ZR coakleyrom including fine pianos expansion rom. Trust me it has some tight Az presets!!!

Me personally I got the Mo Phatt and the Proteus. As far as the sounds being played out I don't believe it. To me making music is the same as paiting a picture. Artists who paint use the same colors just differently. Colors never get played out, just like sounds. It just depends on how you use the sounds to paint your picture
