Midi Question

I'm using Reason 3.0 with a usb midi connection to my keyboard. I have the midi out of the keyboard running into the midi in of my MPC. My keyboard is able to trigger sounds in Reason. The problem I'm having is that some keys play sounds from the MPC as well. How do I fix this?

You can either change the MIDI input channel on the MPC so it's not receiving on the same channel as Reason or set the output of the MPC track to off.
The manual shows you how to do this.

I looked at the manual but I must be retarded. I've tried every setting on the MPC and it still sends a signal to the keyboard. Obviously this is my first time using midi. It's starting to piss me off.

I'm able to play only sounds from Reason now. I still can't record though. I set my track on MIDI: Device1a and it still won't record.

Man, this midi crap is killing me. I've watched the sparq video several times. I just don't see what I'm doing wrong.

Still can't get this to work. I could really use some help as I'm sure that there is one tiny thing that I'm missing. I'd appreciate the help.

@flat18: i think your keyboard is not a midi-IN device, but only Dual OUT, in the form of Out-USB and Out-MIDI, so your played-notes go to both places at once.

you didn't describe any way the MPC's midi-out is connected
