Eb-16 effects card..

Okay. So noticed while using my mpc that it doesnt have reverb capabilities or whatever, and i like that with my drums.

no problem, i check up at zzsounds. and the effects card is 329 dollars....

my questions are:

The mpc-1000 has the effects card preinstalled in it and it cost 800 dollars..

Is thier any chance Akai will lower the price of the card, due to the fact it almost cost as much as the mpc itself............

and my other question, is to the cats that do have the card.

how does it work? worth that 300 bones?

i don't know if they will lower their prices...

but the effects Is convenient 2 fill in gaps in samples (with just a hint of reverb...) and gives you a few other options as far as effects... despite that when you record most engineers prefer you to run the mix dry...
but most engineers don't f*kkn chop samples in the mp either...

the effects board is a good buy if you want more options to play around with on tha mp as well as add reverb on tha drums but i tend to put a little reverb on tha samples(A LITTLE) and put the reverbs and compression when i track out... but either way...
it is convenient 2 have more options...
as long as u know that they are there...
p.s. (hinthint..)f*kk Wit tha Attak And Decay Wit Your Drumz 2 make'm tighter... sumtimes when they are real clean and punchy you probably won't even want to put effects on them...(end/start?)<<<hint.

I use the effects card alot and it is worth it IMO. It does cost a grip but it is a must if you don't have outboard effects. Even if you do have outboard effects, the card is a good way to buss out effects to tracks inside the MPC conveniently and quickly..

i just think its ridiculous that it almost cost as much as the mpc 1000........................................................................
