I've only done this for two tracks, and can't remember the specifics. Used to do it all the time with my old Boss 8 track.
The MPC's MTC or MMC sync needs to be set to receive clock messages from the MIDI In you run the AW16G to.
The AW16G needs a bit of massaging to have it properly send clock and transport messages to the MPC, but I can't remember what. Read the manual for the Yammy, it's more involved than setting the MPC's end.
Basically you end up with the Yammy as the master and MPC as slave. I'd also set it so your clock has a delay before it starts after you hit record, since some sounds are bound to be lopped off if you don't include this beginning silence.
Anyhow, good luck.
