I'm not good at explaining things but I'll try to help as much as possible.
My setup consist of an MPC2kXL, EM-U MP7 command station, and Digi 001 with Pro Tools.
I use my MPC to sequence the MP7 via MIDI, of course. Let's say I finished a whole song on the MPC and I'm ready to record. I have a 4 minute song arranged in song mode. The first thing I do is assign the sounds of MPC to the 8 outs. I hook up the 8 outs of the MPC into the 8 analog inputs of the Digi (Digi only has 8 analog inputs.) Next, I set Pro Tools to trigger the MPC to play everytime I hit record or play on Pro Tools. Now I record my 4 minute song into 8 tracks in Pro Tools. After that's done I just take out the MPC plugs from Digi and I hook up the six outputs of my MP7 into the Digi. I just add six more tracks to record to in Pro Tools and record my MP7. Remember I have my MPC triggering the MP7. So when Pro Tools triggers the MPC to play, the MPC triggers the sounds of my MP7. Hope this makes sense, I wasn't very good in English class. If you have anymore questions you can e-mail me.
